Apparently we won't be seeing the 16-core until 2016, but it's something to look forward to.

Did they mix that up? It says in the title that 16-core announced for 2011, which sounds more realistic. But then in the first paragraph they say 12-core in 2010 and 16-core in 2016.. I think they got their 16s mixed up 12 and 16 core machines is insane, though.

By that time I'm sure we'll still probably complain that it's too slow, and they need 32-core processors

They need to find a way to adequately cool 4Ghz+ processors ! Like a comment on that article - I miss AMD and Intel fighting over Ghz, instead of Cores.
